Health care services affected by adverse weather

Adverse weather is likely to affect local services today Friday 2 March. If you're feeling unwell and in need of medical assistance (non-life threatening), call NHS 111.

The following is the latest information we have about changes to services that are affected by the weather.

Services affected - Friday 2 March

Minor injury units

  • Bodmin minor injury unit will open at 10am, pending access to 4x4 transport
  • Camborne Redruth Primary Care Centre will close at 6pm, the minor injury unit will close at 8pm.

Community equipment loans service

The service will not be operating today. Anyone who is expecting a delivery today is being contacted to reschedule their delivery for next week.

Non-emergency patient transport

The adverse weather continues to affect our non-emergency patient transport service. The provider is working with Royal Cornwall Hosptials NHS Trust's transport booking office to prioritise discharges and transfers from hospital. Crews are also assessing access to people’s homes as the ice poses a risk to patient and staff safety, particularly those on stretchers.

Outpatient clinics

All outpatient clinics at St Austell have been cancelled, but other locations are operating normally.
