On Friday 6 April, the Shaping Our Future Transformation Board will meet at 10am at the Knowledge Spa in Truro. Members of the public are welcome to attend and listen to the discussion.
Shaping Our Future brings together the NHS, social care and public health from across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to bring about positive and genuine improvement in health and social care delivery.
Agenda items that will be discussed include an update from NHS Kernow’s Chief Officer, Jackie Pendleton, on the recent co-production workshops and the plans to develop a community-based model of care.
Director of Finance Karl Simkins will give an update on the health and care system’s financial position and planning for the new financial year, 2018/19.
During Cornwall Council’s inquiry panels at the start of the year, panel members said more work needed to be done to make sure the public were aware of the changes to integrate health and care services and the benefits this will bring. Sharon Davidson, the new interim Head of Communications, will discuss her plan to improve communication and the ways people can get involved with Shaping Our Future. She will also launch the new look website and social media platforms, which will become a one-stop-shop for people wanting to know more about Shaping Our Future.
