NHS Kernow is hitting the road this autumn to tell people about health services in their community.
On Thursday, 30 August, the engagement team will be at the Asda supermarket in Launceston Road, Bodmin from 10.30am to 3pm to hear shoppers’ views about anything health-related.
We are also excited to announce that for the very first time we have teamed up with the organisers of Looe Music Festival and will be based inside the festival’s main arena overlooking the seafront for three days from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 September.
Between seeing your favourite bands and performers, why not head over and say hello.
To see information about performers and further details check out their website: https://www.looemusic.co.uk/
While at the festival we’ll be collecting information about people’s experience of the NHS and their health needs in a safe and secure manner as well using it as an opportunity to share information about the health care services that are available across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, part of our campaign to encourage people to choose and use the right services.
People are being asked to choose the right services and look out for elderly family and friends in a bid to prevent a repeat of the summer surge on the emergency department, which was caused by the July heatwave.
Festivals are places where the chance of a slip, trip or fall can be increased and there’s also the risk of dehydration as it’s easy to forget to keep topped up on fluids when you’re busy dancing, so it’s useful that there will be a team at hand to direct you to the best services for minor injuries and ailments.
Wherever you are always make sure that you know the best treatment options and services for when you or a member of your family or friend is sick or injured. Click here to find out about services, opening and waiting times, including for the east of the county.
